Minutes 5/6/19

Date: 5th June 2019                          Venue: Christine’s House

Start: 14.00

Attendees: Christine Walker, Keith Wagstaff, Gavin Monks (Clerk), Maggie Warren & Nev Brown

Apologies: Mark Nicholson, Nick Brown, Kathryn Jones, Gill Stonham,

The Clerk provided an overview of progress by the steering committee to date.

Nev introduced himself and remarked that he was impressed with the progress made.  He noted it would be a good idea to engage with the school children as part of the process.  He also noted that Glentworth Neighbourhood Plan is a good guide to use.  Nev gave a summary of the full process for the Neighbourhood Plan.  Other points to note were:

  • Building can be restricted by allocating Green Spaces in the village.
  • You can include a comment such as ‘If a planning application is received for a new property within the building line then community support must be demonstrated.’
  • The steering committee should copy Nev into all iterations of the draft plan so he can review and comment.
  • Nev holds the address lists of all statutory consultees for use once the 6 week consultation stage is reached.
  • All documents need to be published on the Ingham NP website.
  • WLDC cover the cost of the referendum.
  • There is a top up fund available from WLDC if additional fund are required.
  • Nev noted that we have a parish plan/ conservation area document that is worth incorporating or using as a reference.
  • Important buildings in Ingham are listed in the Conservation Area document and these could be incorporated to the plan  to prevent significant development to them or adjacent to them
  • Trees can be protected as part of the plan but this is not as strong as a TPO
